Soulshine Dog Rescue is a San Diego–based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving dogs who’ve been forgotten, abandoned, or abused in Southern California and Mexico. Many of our dogs arrive scared, hungry or sick — and that is where our work begins.
When a dog enters our rescue, we provide safety, medical care, nutritious food, and the steady, patient love that helps them decompress and begin to feel safe. Because we are an all-volunteer, foster-based organization, our dogs don’t go to a facility — they go into real homes.
Foster homes are the heart of our mission. It’s where we learn who each dog truly is: their personality, their needs, what helps them feel safe, and what kind of family will be the best match. From rescue to vet care to foster placement, we prioritize thoughtful, responsible placements — so every dog is set up to thrive for the long term.
Our mission is simple: rescue with heart, place with responsibility, and build a community that cares and wants to help. We don’t believe in quick placements — we believe in the right placements, so every adoption can be the last one.

Shipping is calculated by check out and based on weight to your location. We ship through USPS First Class or Priority mail within the US. Items typically ship out between 2-4 days and arrive within 5-10 days.
For International shipping we ship through UPS Worldwide or DHL Express. Items typically ship out within 2-4 days. International delivery can take up to 30 days.
We accept returns and exchanges of unused or unworn items for up to 30 days unless otherwise noted in the product description. Please contact us if you have any issues with your order.
