SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

- Everyone that lives in your home, including the other dogs are required to come to your appointment.
- If you rent your apartment, condo or house we require landlord approval for certain breeds. The best way to do this is to get it in writing prior to your appointment ( noting any age, breed, or weight restrictions ).
- If it’s a great match and your application is approved, we’ll complete the adoption paperwork during your appointment—so be ready to take your new dog home that day!
- You will receive a leash and collar, a few toys & treats along with a two day sample of your new dog's food.
- The dog is on hold for another appointment
- The dog is not a good match for your home.
- Breed restrictions.
- Everyone in the home, or your other dog, is not able to come to the appointment- we want to be sure that everyone gets along.
- You live out of OR, WA or ID state and are not able to come to our adoption center in Portland Oregon for your appointment.
- We kindly ask that you only request an adoption appointment if you’re truly ready and prepared to adopt a dog today—if the dog is a good match for your family. While there’s never any pressure to adopt if it’s not the right fit, we ask that you don’t schedule an appointment if you're “just looking,” have other appointments lined up, or aren’t in a position to adopt at this time. This helps ensure families who are ready to welcome a new dog have the opportunity. We’ll be here when the time is right and would love to help you find your new best friend!
- In most cases we will only be able to introduce you to the dog you are most interested in meeting, depending in our schedule there may be an opportunity to meet other dogs who are a good match as well, but we can not guarantee this-it is dependent on the day’s schedule and if those pups have other meets scheduled.

- Expect to spend approximately 1 hour at your appointment. Your appointment is in person, at our Adoption Center located at 9101 SE Stanley Ave. Portland OR 97206.
- Adoption appointments are available on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays between 10:30am - 4:30pm.
  
  We hope to be adding more adoption days soon.
We currently only accept adoption applications from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The adopter is responsible for transport after the dog is adopted.

- If you need to cancel your adoption appointment, please let us know as soon as possible by replying to your confirmation email or contacting us directly. We understand that things come up, and giving us notice allows us to offer that time slot to another family ready to adopt. We appreciate your consideration!
