Meet Ash!

Ash is an 8-week-old female Rottweiler/Black Labrador mix who is ready to grow up surrounded by love and become someone’s very best friend!

Ash’s story began in Oklahoma, where her mom, Azalea, was found hanging around a neighborhood. With her friendly and trusting personality, it didn’t take long for a kind person to realize she deserved a safe place to land. They took Azalea in so she would no longer have to live on the streets, and soon after, she welcomed eight adorable puppies into the world—including Ash!

With a mama and eight growing puppies to care for, the person who rescued Azalea reached out to The Asher House for some much-needed help. We were happy to step in, and now the entire family is safe, loved, and getting ready to find their forever homes.

Ash is a sweet, playful puppy who is busy doing all the important puppy things—exploring, learning, playing with her siblings, and soaking up plenty of attention along the way. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly and would love a family who is excited to show her just how wonderful life can be.

At only 8 weeks old, Ash has so much learning and growing ahead of her. Her future family will need to be ready for potty training, leash walking, socialization, basic manners, and all of the patience and consistency that come with raising a puppy. I’m a 3-year-old, 75 lb. Great Pyrenees girl who may be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. I just like to take my time getting to know new people and making sure everything feels safe. Once I realize you’re my friend, I warm up and my sweet personality starts to shine.

Unlike the famous Bonnie and Clyde, my goal isn’t to be on the run. I’m looking for a life filled with cozy days, fun adventures, and a family who understands that the best relationships are built with patience and trust. I love exploring the world around me, especially when there are plenty of new smells to investigate. My nose likes to gather all the important details, so expect our walks to include lots of sniff breaks.

Hi I'm Bowie!

No, I don't have a band… yet. What I do have is a face that belongs on magazine covers, a personality larger than my little Frenchie body, and enough charm to convince you that your spot on the couch was actually reserved for me all along.

I'm a 1-year-old, 25 lb. French Bulldog who LOVES my person. And when I say love, I mean I would happily live in your back pocket if I could. I'm a true Velcro dog who wants to be wherever you are, whether that's curled up together on the couch, playing with toys, heading out for a walk or hopping in the car for an adventure. I absolutely love car rides!

I'm also a great walking buddy. I walk nicely on leash without pulling or reacting to other dogs, and I'm smart, attentive and do very well with commands once I've bonded with my person. I've also shown that I can settle nicely into a home routine and have great house manners.

Now, here's the important part about finding my perfect match: I tend to choose one person and bond with them very strongly. Because I can become protective of my favorite human and don't always appreciate other dogs or people interfering with me, I'm looking for an experienced, adult-only home where I can be your one and only dog.

I can be mouthy when I'm excited and playing, and I sometimes use my mouth to communicate when I don't want to be handled or moved. For that reason, I need someone who understands dog body language, respects my boundaries and is comfortable continuing to work with me on obedience, appropriate play and handling.

I've interacted successfully with some female dogs, but my play can escalate quickly and I don't always respond appropriately when another dog tells me I've had enough. I also struggle at times with some male dogs and can guard my person from other dogs; therefore, I'll be happiest in a home with one person where I get to soak up all the attention as your their dog.

Like many Frenchies, I also need someone committed to keeping up with my skin and daily care. I'm prone to yeast and irritation, particularly in my facial folds and floppy ear, so those areas need regular cleaning and monitoring. My nose also needs daily moisturizing to prevent it from becoming dry and cracked. I came to The Asher House with ruptured eardrums and skin issues and have been receiving treatment, including daily ear medication. I may need additional veterinary care or surgery in the future, but none of that stops me from playing, adventuring or being an incredibly affectionate little guy.

Underneath all of my quirks is a goofy, playful, incredibly loving dog who thrives when I feel secure with my person. In the right home—with someone who understands me, gives me structure and is happy having a devoted little shadow—I have so much love to give.

Bunny is a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso/Mastiff mix who may have some extra challenges, but what stands out most about her is her incredibly sweet and loving heart. At 63 pounds, she’s on the smaller side for her breed and absolutely full of affection.

Bunny is a special needs dog with Wobbler syndrome, which affects her mobility—she has a wobbly gait and can sometimes lose her balance. She is on daily medication to help manage her condition and keep her comfortable. In March 2026, she underwent surgery to stabilize her knees, and her recovery has been going incredibly well.

Because of her condition, Bunny will need ongoing care, including periodic neurologist visits. The Asher House is committed to her and is open to sponsoring her medical care—we truly just want to see this special girl in a loving home where she can thrive.

Despite everything she’s been through, Bunny remains such a happy, gentle soul. She’s done well in playgroups and enjoys the company of other dogs, though she doesn’t spend much time in the large pack these days. She can be a little mouthy at times, but it’s not aggressive—just part of her playful, expressive personality. Because of this she would do best in a home with kids over the age of 10 and a home without cats.

Jack-Jack’s story began on the Yakama Reservation, where he was born and survived alongside many stray dogs. After being hit by a car and losing one of his legs, he was rescued and eventually found his way into a loving foster home. His foster family adored him. He quickly bonded with the husband and, with a little extra time, learned to trust and love the wife too. Today at The Asher House, Jack-Jack has formed a deep bond with Sarah and loves joining Lee and the pack on their daily walks.

Because he’s never truly had a permanent home of his own, Jack-Jack is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships take time. He’ll need continued training, patience, and consistency as he adjusts to family life—but he’s absolutely worth the effort.

At about 40 pounds, Jack-Jack is the perfect medium-sized companion. As for his breed? Your guess is as good as ours! We think he may be a mix of Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, Border Collie, and a little bit of everything else.

At just 11 months old, Cass is a Shar Pei/bully breed mix weighing about 50 pounds.

Cass is both completely deaf and visually impaired. When she arrived, she needed entropion surgery to correct her painful eyelids, and her surgery was a huge success. Despite her challenges, Cass approaches life with incredible resilience, joy, and love.

She absolutely thrives around other dogs and would love a home with medium or large canine companions. She enjoys dogs of every size, but because she plays with the same enthusiasm regardless of her playmate’s size, we think she’d be happiest with dogs who can match her energy.

Cass walks beautifully on a leash, settles nicely in her kennel at night, and loves both playtime and cuddle time equally. She would do well in a home with children ages 5 and up. She would do best in a home without cats.

This sweet girl is eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to be someone’s best friend. If her future family wanted to teach her hand signals—or even learn a little sign language with her—we think she’d absolutely blossom.

Diesel is a stunning one-year-old Great Dane weighing in at 105 pounds of pure love, goofiness, and puppy energy. While he may look like a full-grown dog, he’s really just a giant puppy who’s still learning how big he is.

Diesel is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s with his person. He’ll gladly shower you with kisses, follow you from room to room, and do just about anything to convince you it’s time to play. Because of his size and enthusiasm, Diesel needs an active home with someone who is committed to continuing his training and ideally has experience with giant breeds or understands what it takes to raise one. He has never shown us any intentional aggression, but his size and puppy exuberance mean he isn’t the right fit for every home.

Diesel gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs. The only challenge is that he tries to play with little dogs the same way he plays with dogs his own size. He truly has no idea he’s over 100 pounds, so he’ll do best with someone who can help him continue learning appropriate manners.

We also want to share a part of Diesel’s story. Before coming to The Asher House, Diesel was adopted from a shelter for just one night before being returned after an accident. While someone was eating barbecue ribs, Diesel excitedly jumped up to grab the food and accidentally caught the person’s face. There was no blood, no stitches, and no lasting injury. Sadly, because of the incident, the shelter was considering euthanasia before reaching out to us.

Since arriving here, Diesel has been nothing but a gentle, loving boy. He has been wonderful with our staff, adores people, and quickly bonds with his favorite person. We truly believe the incident was just that—an accident caused by an oversized puppy who got too excited around food.

I’m a 6.5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix at 54 lbs., and I’ve come a long way to become the girl I am today. When I first arrived from the shelter, I had some big feelings and didn’t always know how to handle them. But since joining The Asher House behavior training program, I’ve put in the work and made some serious progress. I’ve learned how to regulate myself. Growth looks good on me!

Now, I’m an active, fun-loving girl who thrives when I’m with my people. I love being close to you. Whether we’re out doing something exciting or just hanging out, I’m happiest when I’m part of your world. Mystic is a 1-year-old, 58 lb. German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix. She’s incredibly loving, fiercely loyal, and full of life. Whether she’s splashing through water, zooming around the yard, or sneaking your favorite item off the counter just because she can, Mystic approaches every day with enthusiasm and joy.

She is the kind of dog who lives life at full speed. Her energy is contagious, her personality is larger than life, and her happiness has a way of making everyone around her smile. While some may see her wild side as something to manage, we see it as one of the things that makes her so special.

Mystic absolutely loves other dogs and thrives in canine company. She has a rough-and-rowdy play style and would do best with medium to large dogs who can keep up with her energy. We have not observed any aggression toward people or other dogs while she’s been with us—she simply loves to play, wrestle, run, and have fun.

She would do best in a home without cats. Mystic previously lived with cats but eventually had an altercation due to her rough play style, and we want to set her up for success moving forward.

Mystic does well with children and enjoys being around people, but because she gets excited and tends to jump up for kisses and attention, we believe she’d be the best fit for a home with kids ages 11 and older.

This girl is looking for an active, experienced adopter who understands working breeds and, ideally, has experience with German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or Wolf Hybrids. Shadow is an 8-week-old male Rottweiler/Black Labrador Mix who is ready to leave the puppy pile behind and find a forever family to grow up with!

Shadow’s story began in Oklahoma, where his mom, Azalea, was found spending her days around a neighborhood. She was incredibly friendly, and a kind person opened their home to her so she would no longer have to live on the streets. Not long after, Azalea gave birth to eight beautiful puppies—including Shadow!

Caring for a mama and eight growing babies is a big undertaking, so the person who rescued Azalea reached out to The Asher House for help. We were happy to welcome the whole family, and now Azalea and all eight of her puppies are safe, cared for, and getting ready for their next big adventure.

Shadow is a sweet, curious little boy with so much life ahead of him. He is dog, cat, and kid friendly and is at such a fun age where everything is new and exciting. Whether he’s playing with his siblings, exploring his surroundings, or settling in for some puppy snuggles, Shadow is sure to bring plenty of joy to his future family.

At just 8 weeks old, Shadow will need a family ready to take on all the fun—and work—that comes with raising a puppy. Potty training, leash walking, socialization, basic manners, and lots of patience will all be important as he grows into the amazing dog we know he can be.

Meet Titan 🐾

Titan might just be the happiest, goofiest, friendliest, high-anxiety, long-haired German Shepherd you’ll ever meet — and he is an absolute staff favorite here at The Asher House Sanctuary.

At approximately two years old and 83 lbs., Titan is still a big, lovable puppy at heart. He loves pack walks, swimming, playing with his dog friends, and most of all, just being included in the fun.

Titan came to us after being left behind by his previous owners. Before that, he had been used as a guard dog — although once you meet him, you’ll probably wonder how that was ever his job. Titan is afraid of quite a few things. If anything, he’s the one who needs someone to guard and protect him. ❤️

Titan does struggle with anxiety, and it can take him a little time to trust. But with patience, love, consistency and support, you get to watch the sweetest dog emerge. And once Titan decides you’re his person, he is incredibly loyal. He’ll never want to leave your side.

He does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and could do well with children ages 7 and up. We haven’t seen any behavioral concerns from Titan beyond his anxiety — he is simply a sensitive boy who needs people willing to help him feel safe. We think he'd do best in a home without feline friends.

Titan would thrive in a calm, loving home that can give him structure while still keeping his world full of adventure. Nice leashed walks, mental and physical enrichment, continued training, swimming when possible, and plenty of time together would make this boy very happy. We would especially love to find Titan a family with German Shepherd experience who understands just how intelligent, sensitive, loyal, and special these dogs can be.

Hi, I'm Turbo. Turbo is proof that "special needs" just means extra special. This 1.5-year-old cream Shar Pei Lab mix is around 75 Ibs. of pure love, silliness, and puppy joy. He's playful, social, and has the softest coat to match his sweet soul.

Turbo loves other dogs and is an expert cuddler. He has very interesting blue eyes but do not worry, he can see! He has Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy, a non-painful condition that causes cloudiness over time. His vision is currently decent, and daily eye drops help slow further progression of this condition.

Turbo doesn't know he's "special needs" he just knows how to love. He's happy, active, and ready to be someone's best friend. With his compromised eyesight he'd do best with children who are 8 or older who understand his warmth and energetic nature.

Turbo has been at the sanctuary for a few months and gets along wonderfully with all of the other dogs and the many people who care for him. He doesn't have much leash experience yet, so he'll benefit from continued training and a home with a securely fenced backyard to help him transition smoothly from sanctuary life to family life. Turbo tested well with cats; because of his vision and playful nature, he would do best with slow and proper introductions to any feline roommates.
