King’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was found as a stray in Missouri before making his way to The Asher House Sanctuary, where he’s finally getting the care he deserves. He is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm. The good news is that his treatment is very manageable—it simply requires a calm environment through the end of May where he can rest and keep his activity level low. By June he should be able to resume normal activity levels!

Otis has joined several pack walks and does well with many dogs, but he can be selective. Because of this, he would thrive best as the only dog in the home. Otis came to us from Tacoma Humane after being surrendered due to resource guarding and a scuffle with another dog. Since arriving, he’s made great strides—he came in severely underweight and has already gained 10 pounds, with a bit more to go.
